Disneyland!!!

Megan and I have always loved Disney movies, and from our engagement at Snow White's Wishing Well in Disneyland to our honeymoon in Disney World, there's nothing we enjoy more than a Disney family vacation.

In the middle of September we were fortunate enough to get back to Disneyland. We spent a week with our girls and my parents came along for a few days as well. While there, we celebrated Abby's 5th birthday. We had an absolute blast and loved the constant family time.

Here are some pictures from our trip:

Abby & Emma with Tinker Bell

Ruby in her Tinker Bell dress - We had a bunch of people ask if they could take her picture as she marched around the park. She was adorable!

Ruby Turns One and Fun in Las Vegas

Ruby Grace turned one on June 27th. We cannot believe our little baby girl is one. Amazing how time flies. We had a great family party to celebrate. Below is the before and after picture from Ruby's first taste of birthday cake.
First bite.

Meet Little Ms. Cake Lover!

Meg and I had the chance to get away to Las Vegas for four days in the middle of July. I had business there and Meg met up with me for a few fun days of playing without our girls. Although we missed our girls like crazy, we enjoyed having a few days to ourselves - certainly a concept you forget as parents of little ones. We enjoyed the heat, fun pool time, great food, took in a great Cirque du Soleil show and stayed at the MGM Grand - the world's largest hotel with almost 7,000 rooms. We had a blast!

Vacation at the Beach

We're having a blast this week while on vacation at Cannon Beach. We've been doing a little bit of everything and are making great memories!

We have two little girls who love the beach. They love to dig and hunt for "treasures." They also love to taunt the seagulls. If there's a seagull within eyesight, there's a good chance one of our girls is chasing them.

Fun family picture at the beach.

Cutie Ruby!

We have swam every day but one, and went twice on Sunday. Our girls love to swim is an understatement! Abby and Emma each have these cool float suits that are wetsuit-like training suits that allow them to swim/float on their own. It's very fun to see their confidence grow in the water, as they learn the basics of paddling and kicking.

Today we went into Astoria, a place we'd never visited before. The definate highlight for me was getting to see the "Goonie house." This is the house Steven Speilberg used in filming the Goonies
movie from the mid-80s which was one of my favorites growing up. We also drove past the elementary school used in the filming of Kindergarten Cop. Very fun for a big movie fan!

The sun does exist!

We had a beautiful day of sunshine on Saturday so we had a fun day outside. We did a lot of yard work and washed the cars. Here's some pictures of the girls outside.

Abby climbing in a tree. Notice the new Ariel swimming suit. She's been living in it since we got it last week and she believes that sixty degree weather justifies getting out the kiddie pool. :)

Emma is our future ballet dancer/archeologist / exterminator. Here she's digging in the mud, hunting for worms while in her ballet dress.

Happy little Ruby!

Oh yeah, we have a blog - time to update it! ;)

Our intention when starting this blog was to keep family and friends updated on what's going on in our lives. We did alright for the first six months or so but man have we stunk at it the past few months. Life is busy. Meg and I are tired. Our girls are absolutely wonderful and they keep us on our toes! Here are some fun pictures from the past couple of months. Enjoy!

Ruby Grace is growing up so quickly. She is constantly smiling and she smiles with her entire body.

We felt embarrassed when the girls doctor asked if they're wearing helmets when riding their trikes. Oops, bad parents! It wasn't long before they had the full set of helmet with knee and elbow pads. They love them!

Our cutie Emma!

This is currently my favorite picture of Ruby and it's on the desktop of my laptop. Every time I see it I can't help but smile. Ruby is learning a ton these days. She's starting to wave and is working on clapping.

Seems like Thanksgiving was just yesterday. I blink and we're into the new year. Emma's third birthday and Christmas just flew by. Ruby is now six months old. The month of December came and went quickly but what a fun month it was for our family. Here are some fun pictures of our highlights.

The Fairytale Princess dress up chest was a huge hit as well
